The third in the series, and probably my favorite. Yeah...
It arose in part from a fascination with dreams as a platform for exploring how to be. I think a lot of times nightmares in particular have a way of showing us what we're truly like... they're the one situation we're convinced we're in danger without ever truly being in danger... where we have no control over any aspect of our situation except for how we respond to them. I've often wondered, if I were somehow able to make better use of my nightmares, if I stood my ground in them more often, would I be less of a coward in my real life... this piece was really about facing fear, and how for me, a lot of times it isn't the big things around me that are so scary, but the small things inside of me I can't run from, the ones that only go away if I force myself to confront them. Sometimes it feels like there are so many dragons, I don't know whether I'm supposed to befriend or slay them.
